Christian Aid Coffee Morning

On Thursday 9th, May, there was a general 'buzz' at Merrow Methodist Church.

Would the cakes arrive? Would the weather be good? More importantly – would there be any guests?

And yes – the cakes did arrive (the host even managed to make 'chewy almond flapjack which turned out reasonably well!).

The weather was beautiful and sunny – and guests were able to sit outside to enjoy tea, cake and chat.

and yes – the guests came in their numbers to enjoy the cake, the tea and coffee and most importantly – the chat with friends.

And throughout it all, we raised £314.40 towards the vital work of Christian Aid – all by enjoying some lovely cakes and chat.
