A Chapel’s willingness to try new things, at their “give-it-a-go” Church

A chapel outside the town of Nantwich has shown how mission can grow when a church chooses to welcome young families and listen to its community. At Broomhall and Sound Methodist Church in Cheshire, lay worker Kathryn Davies has worked to help shape the family ministry that began with a toddler group and has since expanded into after-school activities, holiday
clubs, a twins' support group and even a pedal-tractor run dreamed up by two young boys.

Surrey County Council Tree and Hedgerow Planting

Surrey County Council has planted over 832,000 trees as part of the Council’s 1.2 million tree strategy one for every resident in Surrey!

Since 2020 charities and community groups, schools and churches have been helping to plant hedgerows, single trees, copses and community orchards on their land.

If you are interested in planting, the Tree Planting and Establishment Team can offer a site visit and consultation to assess viability of tree planting. No project is too big or too small so do get in touch if you would like further information.

You can either fill in this link or email the team at trees@surreycc.gov.uk if you have any questions.
