Cherry Trees at Women's Fellowship

On 2nd February 2026, two members from Cherry Trees came to Women's Fellowship to speak about the vital work that they carry out. Cherry Trees provides home from home care for children aged between 0 to 19 years with complex disabilities and provides a meaningful break for their families.

The home is located in East Clandon. Last year, 68 children were supported with over 2000 visits and 'sleepovers' carried out. There were also day trips carried out including a visit to meet some very friendly alpacas. Their whole philosophy is 'Child first, Disability second'. The home has achieved Outstanding rating by Ofsted for the fourth year in the row.

We were also informed of the future plans for Cherry Trees. The demand for their services are very high – and they can receive families from Surrey, Hampshire, Sussex and West London. They will now be opening another home (Goldcrest Lodge) in Liphook, Hampshire to improve service provision.

The talk was followed by tea and cake – and more chat.
