Roy's Bench

Church Bench (aka Sheila's Bench)

Two special benches were dedicated at Merrow after the Easter Service.

The first bench located in the garden was dedicated in memory of Roy Vinall – a much loved member of Merrow Methodist. The bench was given to the Church by the Vinall family. It has been placed in the garden as he loved gardens and also spent a lot of time playing football with the children there!

The second bench is located at the front of the Church and has been dedicated for Community use. It is hoped that it will be appreciated and used by weary passers-by and church members alike. It has been inscribed with the passage'Come to me all of you who are tired and I will give you rest'Matthew 11 v28.
